Pleasant helpful staff and hotel clean and welcoming. Room v.good.

We were not very happy at all with the evening meal we had on the first night, so much so that we did not eat there on the second night. The food was not cooked very well. I asked where the roasted almonds were that should have been with the beans and when the waitress asked the chef, the response was that "since he had been doing that menu he hadn't put any almonds on the beans and in fact had not actually read the menu" !! My suggestion was that it might be helpful if he did. If he cannot be bothered to read the menu then to me, it shows lack of interest in the job. For the prices being charged, neither the service or the food was acceptable. They also left one couple standing there for about 5 minutes waiting to pay. I think some sort of restaurant manager/head waiter is called for and also a chef who is interested in his restaurant. The waiting-on staff were pleasant enough and did all they could to help. Re a recommendation below, yes for hotel, no to restaurant!

We enjoyed our stay having stayed at the hotel in the past on 3 occasions and always found the service to be very good.

On the down side in the past we have never had to pay for car parking overnight, one would thought this would have come with the cost of our stay.

Staff. Everyone said hi. Gym and pool to ourselves. Probably different when it is full!

Staff extremely hepful and pleasant, room very very comfotable bed was great, pool and gym excellent, thought the seperate toilet from the bathroom was good. The breakfast catered for all tastes the continental was good full english was hot and fresh could not complain about anything thoroughly enjoyable stay, would not hesitate to stay again would be my first choice

Corridor was scruffy and smelt (4th floor) Strange deep texture to some walls, reminded me of wood chip wall paper, not stylish. Large cracks around the air extractor in the loo (room 416)

The hotel was very good in general and the staff were very helpful

Value for money, fitness, swimming pool.
