Middletons Hotel

Lovely room in main building, well appointed - bed linen particularly good. TV somewhat small, but fortunately had too much planned to watch it much. I was also very pleased to be able to leave my car for the day I checked out because parking in York is not the easiest (and would have cost me a lot more than the £5 charge for day in hotel car park). Only nine rather than ten on cost because of bar charges. £10.65 for a large glass of (a passable) Rioja seems steep to me. One suggestion. Hotel might give better information about car park. Yes, it's great to have on-site car parking at a hotel in centre of York, but the car park is a bit peculiar (e.g. steep, might be better for those with limited mobility knew in advance) in addition to being small so maybe say something specific about that as well. But all in all, great and 'deluxe' room was worth paying a bit more for.

Great location and had a lovely evening meal

Quiet location but so near to the city. Good lounge/bar to relax in after a full days sightseeing. Excellent staff - friendly, helpful Breakfast was wholesome and enjoyable.

The evening meal menu was repeticious for a six day stay. What they provided was good, but a little more choice would be appreciated for long stays.

The saving grace was the hotel was only a short walk from centre of York

The staff did not seem to have any direction, how can a hotel of this size run out of a certain bottled beer, and then have to divert another beer to a different named pump. When we arrived the receptionist did not appear to have a sense of humour which would have been nice after a long journey. When we booked out it would have been appreciated if the receptionist would have asked if our stay had been okay and every thing was in order

Very friendly staff good ambience live jazz at night peaceful handy quiet location

I had booked (I thought )3 twin bedded rooms but two rooms only had three quarter beds which my guests were not impressed about. Also they reported room decor was looking rather tired and worn out needing redecoration, having said that teh positives noted above outweighed the negatives

Hotel has NO lift--only 2 floors and stairs were a slight problem-STAFF did all they could 2 help and carry luggage.which was appreciated.

The central posistion and the breakfasts, which catered for all needs

The parking, which was not mentioned, was limited and shared with the gym. However I know parking is at a premium in York city centre, but feel this shared facility shoud be mentioned. Also,although the breakfasts were excellent if you came in the last half hour, certain items were finished and not re-filled.

Szobánk ablaka előtt volt a konyhai szellőző rendszer kivezetése, ami rendkívül zajos és kellemetlen szagú volt. Szellőztetni gyakorlatilag nem lehetett. A másik oldal viszont a nap jó részében közvetlen napsütésnek volt kitéve ami 32 fokos hőmérsékletet eredményezett a szobában. Mivel nem volt légkondicionálás a szoba messze nem elégíti ki a **** kategóriát.
