Mercure Leeds Parkway Hotel

Suited my needs perfectly.

Was disappointed that one overnight stay was not cheaper. Had planned on using this as a regular overnight if I had got a better price but think this is too expensive, especially as some of your other hotels have a better deal.

The food was excellent, I dined in the restaurant a couple of nights and had room service on the others in each case was good. In particular I found the 3 course meal for £20 great value for money. The staff were always pleasant and helpful.

I felt the beds are maybe ready to be changed, although reasonably comfortable you could tell that the mattress was at the end of its life. Likewise the rooms although currently fine will soon be in the need of redecorating.

The rooms vary enormously although the bedrooom was to a reasonable standard the bathroom was very dated Their own website listed no rooms available and yet the hotel was not fully booked. breakfast quality of food and service leaves a lot to be desired.

My party of 12 with 7 booked rooms arrived on 18th sept 2009 at approximately 2.00pm to find our rooms were not ready. At 4.45 we at last got our rooms after much asking at reception when would they be ready. The last room to be ready the key would not work awnd after many requests from reception it was finally sorted after 6.00pm This was a complete waste of an afternoon of our break especially as a couple had travelled all the way from Portugal to be there. The next day one couple arrived back to their room at 4.00pm and it had not been cleaned and another room had not been cleaned by 5.00pm and eventually not cleaned at all. On going down to the evening meal we found that the table which we had booked at reception the day before had not been booked. My husband asked to speak to the Manager and the female undermanager arrived and was quite aggresive. She said she would arrange for the male undermanager to speak to us next morning but that did not happen One of the evening meals was unedible as it was still frozen so by the time that was sorted that person had to eat it after we had all finished. Not good. The breakfasts and the staff are excellant but the food in the evening is not very good. We have been coming to The Parkway for 16 years now and feel there are alot of things that need looking at before we come again

Staff were pleasant and accommodating. The food was good and plentiful

We only went to sleep so cant say much.
