It was extremely dirty, so we asked to be moved to another room . This one was as bad.

Close to York City Centre, staff very friendly.
Cleanliness could be better, had big cobwebs in my room, I was greeted in the bathroom with a piece of toe nail on the floor!!! Also there is building work going on at the moment across the street from my window, with scaffolding being delivered, wagons bleep, bleep, bleep in reverse, and what sounded like glass bottle banks being emptied, all this was just before 7.00am - who needs a early call!!!!

The room we had was very small, the bed was so close to the wall i banged my foot in the night and was very basic, was glad we got the room for £65 as the receptionist said the rooms are usually £115, wouldn't have been at happy paying that for the room we had.

We were given a smoking room and they changed it for us straight away. Nice size bedroom for the non smoking room. The smoking room was a bit small.
Room next to stairs and lift. Noisy.
Could hear all conversations from room next door.

1).Staff were courtious enough. 2)Not sure if I would return for another stay.
Very central to most amenities.
As it was only a one night stay,I didn't think it worthwhile to make any comment at the time.
1)The beds weren't very comfortable because they rocked,bad design of base.
2)The TV was all pay per view,the regional stations weren't even available to view.
3)No residents bar,not very important,but we did look for a night-cap on our return to the hotel that night.
