As a family i enjoyed the stay..i was told on that day you had lowered the price of the rooms to £45 a night and i think a little unfair. this was given to me by a friend. As we had gone to the zoo first i think we should have been informed of a discount if staying at the hotel, was told this at the turnstiles to late then as not able to register in the hotel until 3pm that day. Also was charged £4.50 as an optional charge this was not explained to us, only notice once received bill and looked at breakdown in car on way home, i feel i should have been told this at the time of payment. this was a treat for my daughter (9).

Lacks soul, character or comfort. A very small lounge, being part of receeption area as well as bar, eating and TV area, requires a good cleaning to remove thick dust and spiders' webs. Bathrooms lack a toilet brush resulting in a constantly soiled pan. Management claim that Health and Safety Regs ban the pprovision of such items!

Lovely friendly welcome by reception and efficient check in. Dining room staff good. more monitoring of children in the pool needed as children were jumping in and there were young children in the jacuzi even a babe in arms

The hotel was a basic hotel and the prices suggest a better standard than is true. Nothing wrong with the hotel but for the price I have stayed in lower budget hotels of similar or better quality. The showers are a disgrace.

The hotel was nice but a little pricey for what you get. Breakfast was pretty basic. The corridors were freezing. There were no real ales at the bar and the wine was expensive. It is also too far to walk to a nearby bar or restaurant.

I have stayed at Marwell several times over the last few years. I have notied that the overall standard has dropped and the initial concept of the hotel has drifted somewhat. Several services were unavailable on my last visit.A number of the little touches that added charm for adults and childen have gone.
