Nutfield Priory Hotel And Spa

I very much liked the fact that when I complained about something, the staff were receptive and responsive. The building is beautiful, my room ( second attempt) was very comfortable and of course the views out across Surrey countryside are wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed breakfast. This hotel has potential to be something special but I would suggest that the General Manager needs to pay more attention to the details of customer care

I have three criticisms. 1/. The room allocated to me was at the back of the hotel overlooking the busy car park and dominated by the constant drumming of a large extraction fan ( presumably on top of the kitchen). I politely complained and was very quickly moved to another room by the delightfully helpful lady who took my call. Full marks for that but why put people in a sub standard room when charging standard rates? 2/. I tried to get a table for one for Sunday lunch at very short notice but none were available so I sat in the bar area and had a long lunch ( around two hours) whilst looking at six yes six, empty tables in the restaurant next to me. Not one of them had anyone sat at them for the whole time I was eating my lunch. Bewildering 3/. I ordered the 28 day aged steak which arrived over done and which i promptly sent back. The next attempt arrived a little over done but I was hungry so I decided to accept it. The beef was tough and chewy and of very poor quality, certainly not what a good restaurant should serve. I had the impression that the chef knew he was working with sub standard produce and was cooking the steak beyond my requested medium rare to try and save my jaw from working too hard ! When my waiter asked for my opinion, I politely complained, not about the kitchen but about whoever is the meat buyer because they clearly are buying on price not quality. Does your organisation have a central purchasing department with pricing targets to achieve? It certainly seems to be case.

La comida en la cafetería del Spa era deficiente; de poca calidad y nada atractivo a la vista ni al gusto. El personal se esforzó en mejorar la situación. Debería haber sido una comida sin tantas pretensiones y más honesta.

食品的小部分人吃饭，而且费用昂贵。可怜的灯光在前台。
