Main reason for choosing Aloft London Excel: Location
Not about the stay itself - however upon my return home I received a parking ticket for £100 for the 20 mins that I parked in the hotel car park while I unloaded my car and checked into the hotel. (I then removed my car to a different car park for the duration of my stay). It transpires that there is only a 15 min free parking grace period for hotel guests - which during a busy period is not sufficient time to check in. The hotel did cancel the ticket with the third party company - so from a customer service point of view I can not fault the hotel - they responded well to my concern - just a shame that what was a nice stay in a lovely was tarnished.
