Clean and spacious rooms along with good services and frienly staff made this hotel excellent value for money. The proximity to the Luas light rail, as well as the Dublin Bus Tours (2 day sight-seeing) and the Airlink bus to the airport.
Overseeas tourists are inlikely to bring along a lap top. Hotels of this quality should consider providing access to the Internet (Wi-Fi) either free or at least at more reasonable cost.

I am a regular visitor to The Ashling Hotel and always find it extremely comfortable.
As I am 78 years old I find it extremely difficult to climb into the bath to use the shower - I have on occasion asked for a walk in shower and have been given a room suitable for a disabled person - I feel a bit guilty in case it would be needed for a disabled person and would suggest that more rooms with walk in showers should be provided

The location was excellent.
I didn't have dinner or lunch there but the breakfast was lovely.
There was a very stong smell of smoke on the floor I was staying on (4th).
Even though I requested a smoking room the smell was overpowering and I imagine if I'b been staying in a non- smoking room I would have been subjected to it.

We just had an overnight stay and arrived after ten in the evening so were delighted to get food in the bar. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful
