Holiday Inn Bristol Airport, an IHG Hotel

Warm and helpful welcome (Dave), good transfer service to/from Bristol Airport, and parking. Room very comfortable and quiet, everything functioning well. Needs more light.

Restaurant disappointing - overpriced for products, house red wine (Merlot) unavailable on a Sunday night, also mint-flavoured ice cream n/a. How basic are these two?

Having to pay for wifi, when all over europe, even in the holiday inns, it was free.

We stayed for one night at this Hotel as it was the most convnient for our early flight from Bristol Airport the next day. The Hotel has a shuttle bus so the car could be left there in safety till our return. Staff were very helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant where the food was good and fairly reasonably priced. There was a board in reception detailing departures and arrivals, check in times etc. at the airport which is helpful for people either departing or waiting for people to arrive. We loved the ice machine!

Wasn't too happy that we were not told that the return shuttle bus was "on demand" and we should phone for it on arrival back, we waited for an hour before phoning. Also the charge for the car parking runs from mid-day to mid-day and as we arrived back at 2.pm we had to pay for an extra day even though we weren't there to use it.

Staff were efficient in organizing the transfers even though the taxi service was too bureaucratic - to a taxi as instructed by the hotel to the office as instructed by the taxi driver then back to the taxi - at the end of a day's travel traipsing backwards and forwards with our luggage was a bind. The young man on duty at the bar, a Pole from Gdansk was especially helpful and attentive and I would really like to commend him.

Very pleasantly surprised. Shuttle bus very good. Good food in restaurant. Staff all very polite and friendly.

Carpets - really in this the 21st century are they appropriate in the rooms ? Cleaning issue!!

Convenience to airport

The room was modern and the hotel was in a great location for the airport.

Yes, You advertise as an airport hotel and upon arrival we were asked if we wanted a wake up call to which we replied with yes and the time of 3:30am. I watched the receptionist write it down on the clipboard. However no wake up call was ever received. Luckily we also had set our phones in order to be on the safe side to catch our flight. When we got to reception in the morning I pointed out the fact that we had never received our wake up call and the receptionist got the clip board and said that there was nothing written next to our room number (205). I was showed the clipboard and pointed out that I had observed the receptionist write on the clipboard and pointed out that room 203 had the exact time we had asked for! She said she would mention it to the manager later on. Of all the things you need to get right in an airport hotel it is the wake up call. Also of note was that your staff use the outside area of your hotel below our hotel room to have a cigarette.
