A bright modern interior. Breakfast was very good value.

I ticked NON-SMOKING and when we checked in we were given a SMOKING room which was not acceptable. On the Holiday Inns paperwork it only said non-smoking preferred on my copies which luckily I took with me it clearly stated Non-smoking. The hotel was fully booked the day we stayed 25/09/10, as my husband and I are non-smokers this was not going to be an option! The Hotel Manager did change our room straight away, but unfortunately we still seemed to be in a smoking area as the room even though was non-smoking it smelt of smoke and so did the corridor. We stayed in room 151 which faced the busy + noisey bypass, smelt of smoke, the net curtains were dirty and the bathroom was in need of re-grouting, but the bed was lovely and comfortable.

Reception was very quick and efficient. Breakfast was very good.

There was not enough pillows in the room and when I phoned to ask for more I was told there was none left in the whole hotel. As a result of this I am now suffering from a very painful frozen shoulder and arm that is going to take me a long time to get over. I would have also thought that there would have been more available freeview channels on the t.v. and there was no mini bar. but the worst thing was the pillows, very very poor!

The hotel is attractive inside and the rooms were comfotable- breakfast was good.

Slightly disorganised about room change

Nice room, Quiet room, Good food, Good location, Plenty parking spaces.

Only one toasting machine - had to join a queue to use - hence breakfast going cold on plate.

The comfortable room and good rates.

The safe in our room was not working due to low battery. Staff took an hour to come and have a look, but she was very friendly and apologetic about it. It would take 48 hours to fix but we were only staying one night so had to risk taking all our valuables with us to a special perty.
