We had two rooms booked, a double and a single but were given two doubles on arrival and told they were identical. However, having randomly chosen room keys we later discovered that only one room (already taken by the single person!) had the full quota of towels and pillows, and also had a double sink, therefore would have been more suitable for double occupancy. The parking could have been difficult as the only spaces were on grass at the back, we had a 4x4 but my son's sports car wouldn't have cleared the ruts, particularly in wet weather. I also wouldn't have been happy about walking across soft, wet grass. Luckily, we had dry weather. The breakfast was a dreadful experience! We had chosen continental and were ready approx 8am, so surely not a difficult time for staff. However, no staff could be found anywhere. There were only paper cups for the drinks (from machines), one small piece of slimy processed 'ham' and two slices of processed cheese in polythene. (I should add that there was fruit juice, cereal, cake and croissants.) There was a small amount of bread and a toaster, but no marmalade only a few packs of jam. There was very little cutlery and no plates for the toast. My husband rang the bell at reception to ask for a plate but no one arrived. He gave up and used a bowl. Shortly after we arrived for breakfast a taxi driver came in to collect someone, but having finished our breakfast he was still fuming in reception that he was totally unable to find a member of staff to let them know he was there. When we'd packed and were ready to leave, reception was still deserted. We wondered whether they have a better routine for cooked English breakfast or whether we just wouldn't have had it, not being able to let anyone know that we were there.

The service is generally above average, especially in terms of cleanliness and comfort. Just to emphasize that the shuttle service could be improved, and the fact that sometimes (especially morning), is not nobody at the reception, for a considerable period of time (about 30 minutes).
