Ballynahinch Castle Hotel

Our night in Ballynahinch was such a delight. The food was excellent and the atmoshere was very relaxing which is what my husband and I were looking for in our night away from the kids. As always the staff was very helpful and curtious and we look foward to seeing you all soon.

We had the misfortune to be there on a weekend with very bad weather so we were not able to take in all the outdoor features. From your description of the rooms we thought we were getting a room with a 4 poster which would have been an experience but I think we got 2 of their standard rooms. The only complaint we had as the food and staff were fantastic was that all the pillows were very firm and 2 of us use very soft pillows and so we didn't sleep as well as we might have. I mentioned it in my review that the hotel asked that we complete, my suggestion was that there should be either soft or hard ones in the wardrobe that you could change. I don't know whether they will consider it as it is a place we would like to go to again but that one thing would be a deterent.

Had a fantastic experience in Ballynahinch. Our room was very comfortable with a four poster bed and double shower. The grounds were beautiful with an amazing view from the restaurant. Staff were extremely professinal. Very romantic getaway.

We got a very warm welcome, a terrific room overlooking the river and had a great evening meal and breakfast (including fresh fish!).The wine list is reasonably priced and the bar prices are good; overall this hotel is a real 'gem'. Be sure to get a map with the local walks or alternatively just go down to the river behind the hotel and walk upriver (through the little tunnel) onto the lake.

Very good hotel in a magnificent environment. Very good cooking, especially breakfast.

Ballynahinch Castle Hotel is situated in such an idyllic setting. The walks around the hotel are simply amazing. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and so very helpful. Dinner was good - buffet breakfast even better. I would highly recommend Ballynahinch Castle Hotel as a wonderful place to stay to recharge the batteries and savour the beauty of Connemara.

THIS IS A SUPER HOTEL WITH SUPERB FOOD IN AN AMAZING SETTING. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT TO GET AWAY FROM NOISE AND BUSTLE.
