The door did not lock properly, the bedside light did not work, the curtains were torn and did not close properly, the WC did not flush easily, the communal area carpets were dirty and in general the hotel was very shabby.

Nice, traditional, small English country hotel. Travel staff who did what they could. Simple but excellent traditional breakfast. Good beds, homely rooms.

On the whole, we were impressed. There was nothing of great significance that we found to be lacking.
The minor points needing improvement were: 1. shower control needed instructions; even when it was more or less mastered, the absence of a thermostat led to sudden uncontrolled changes from comfortable hot to very cold. 2. The re was only one hand towel and one bath towel in our room for two persons. We are likely to stay with you again when in the area.

The old-fashioned cozy interior, the division into compartments for food and after dinner / drinks and the wide scope thereof. The rooms are for a few days in this beautiful area well enough, not a luxury. The food is also excellent. Staff is very friendly. Just no complaints.
