Swan Hotel by Greene King Inns

Good first impression. room was ok nice new sheets on bed. bathroom was a bit of a let down, luckily i'm a plumber so i was able to fix the cold tap so we could actually get water from it and i also fixed the leaking w/c. i was unable to fix the toilet roll holder what fell from the wall. the cooked breakfast was terrible, i very rarely dont eat what is in front of me but i could not eat this, got to say though it was only due to the sausage and bacon, very cheap and over cooked. even though all this may sound bad i did actually enjoy may stay and would stay again,.

Nice feature hotel with good service and great food. Despite being busy with Christmas parties and dinner bookings we were not disturbed and enjoyed a peaceful and relaxed stay.

The staff were not very helpful with giving any local information or directions, are daughter was passing into the navy and we met her friends and her for a meal on returning to the hotel at night we had to wait for 20 minutes on a very cold night before the front door was opened, which I feel in totally unacceptable.

Excellent stay in the hotel with great facilities and extremely friendly and hepfull staff.

A comfortable classic British Inn. Some repairs needed. Presents itself nicely.Staff is helpful, but ignorant of basic information of How to find the hotel, resturants,directions to nearby highways,etc.Get a map from the I .tourist info.I would stay there again.

Good location. Good price if through central reservations (not otherwise)

Received a parking ticket whilst booking in. First room unacceptable, due to it having a small sofa bed instead of a single bed. Leg fell off bed in second room. Third room o.k.-just. Whole hotel in need of refurb. Grubby walls, dirty curtains and filthy pillows, a positive health hazard.At the very least an apology from the manager would not have gone amiss. Other hotel staff very helpful and pleasant.

As like most of these Olde English Inns that we have frequented a bit of TLC would not go amiss.

A good place to stay and the staff were happy to assist. Rooms were reasonable.
