Main reason for choosing Delta Hotels by Marriott York: Location

I worked for Marriott in DC and have stayed at many Marriott hotels worldwide but after this one, I will have to think long and hard if I do it again. The bathroom was dirty and tired and needed to be upgraded and we were left with no towels after the first night. This hotel was obviously not built to the Marriott criteria and as such does not do anything to enhance your brand. Sorry for sending you this.

The quietness within the hotel was very good even though it was completely full. The views of the racecourse was fantastic and being out of town meant you could have a rstful stay.
The room was not ready until 5pm on arrival and the cleaning of the room whilst there for three days could be better.We had to ring housekeeping several times who were then very obliging.

Very clean, comfortable welcoming hotel. Good parking. Super leisure pool and exercise suite. Staff very helpful and friendly. Let down slightly by dining room at breakfast which often smelled of burnt toast (guests had to make their own with a slighly temperamental toaster)and the buffet was laid out in a fairly tight space.

Friendliness, eating lunch outside on a nice sunny day overlooking the racecourse
