Main reason for choosing SHG Hotel De La Ville: Location
The first person to greet us was super friendly, but it was pretty much downhill from there. Rooms were adequate for the price, but not great.
We were put in a room that had construction going on below us until 6PM, with no warning from the front desk staff. Additionally, while my wife does not speak Italian, I do, and so I spoke English to most of the staff. I was able to hear the staff in the restaurant make rude comments about most of the American tourists all evening, which was very uncomfortable for me.

Not a particularly good location for sightseeing, but easy to get to by car (from the Autostrada, anyway). Nice rooms.

Poorly located in terms of closeness to Centro. A decent walk ther and back, hence bike a good idea. I had an excellent meal, dinner in hotel dining room.
I liked the quality bikes available for hire in the hotel lobby. I hired one for a day.
Paying EXTRA for breakfast. Petty. All other bokings included breakfast.
