Central Hotel Tullamore

Room was clean and comfortable, but so very hot, no choice of bedding just a quilt. Important to me was the provision of internet connectivity (business traveller), this was advertised on the booking and bill after some visits to the front desk it was made available (aparently I had to unplug the cable from the TV and plug that into my PC, no instructions in room), but it would not work with my Laptop. I am told by the staff because I was using a Vista based PC, With Vista's replacement due for release in October this is very poor and I have had no such issues elseware. TV was not working properly either, very few of the advertised channels were available. On the second night, with no notice from the hotel, the restaurant was closed for a private function, I was told to eat in the bar which was very packed so gave up, braved the rain and went to restaurant down the street where I managed to get a table at 8pm! Final day breakfast no tables set, only two banks of reserved tables, was told to take any other table and collect my own knives forks etc.

More towels in the room would have been good. Cheaper soft drinks at the bar.

Convenient location,spotless and friendly staff,would happily stay again
