Livermead Cliff Hotel

As we already had communicated by telephone from England to you, we were very disappointed with this hotel. Although it is a Best Western hotel is still entered in the Internet, but this chain is not in the hotel logo to see a single one. It is a REW hotel. The porter is at the entrance with coat and carnation in his buttonhole, but there is nothing behind it, as no help unpack the car. The situation on the cliff directly on the sea is beautiful, but the - on the Internet before 2 weeks remaining pool! - No longer exists since March. The hotel itself is very old, indulged, the chairs in the lounge are sagging, the furniture in the room consist largely of the "Formica", the saggy beds. The bathrooms are clean, but also from the 60's. The breakfast is average, no fresh fruit, the staff friendly but not very competent. Breakfast on the terrace (right next to the dining room) is just an additional cost (!) Is possible. The hotel seems to be focused on bus trips to the English pensioners - all of two days was a new bus, we were able to observe how. The price-performance ratio is absolutely bad. Despite advertisements indicating the hotel was quite near the centre this proved not to be the case. Also we were not informed that their were building works going on at the hotel and we were awakened every morning at around 8.a.m to the sound of the builders arriving. I appreciate 8.a.m is not very early but when you are on holiday it is!!
