The close situation to the TGV Gare. The free WiFi access. The breakfast (although it was not cheap)
My room was directly communicated to the next one by a door (that was closed). There was no problem but I was able to hear my neighbour, and I suppose he was able to hear me. I felt, therefore, the room had not too much privacy.

Bien qu'étant situé juste au dessus de la gare, on pourrait penser que c'est bruyant. Or, on entend pas les trains.
L'odeur du produit nettoyant dans le couloir (et uniquement là).

Friendly greeting from receptionist; no worries about arriving late as there would be someone on duty; we knew -from previous visits- that it would be clean and comfortable.
Complete lack of fresh fruit for breakfast - in mid August!
August 15th meant it was harder to find somewhere to eat in Rennes - large proportion of businesses were closed, many marked as closed for annual holidays - this should have been reflected in the price of our stay, imo
