Dirty,old furniture,bad service!

Location. We have come for over 30 years at the hotel and look forward every time over the central location - SPC because we like to get on the Place du Tertre.

We found the hotel very much worn. The toilet was nearly intolerable. It is a shame. Breakfast is in turn become more delicate.

Quiet hotel on the course, comfortable.

Rooms not well kept, going down . Staff has liltle or no knowledge of Paris

Good family room, good service, good service in restaurant, friendly staff, clean room.

The hotel staff was the extraordinarily accommodating.

Only the sounds of the next room were heard (thin walls).

The hotel was set just off the main busy road very close to the Moulin Rouge and within easy reach of Montmartre which was great as we had booked a show at the Moulin Rouge which was excellent; however could not recommend the meal at the theatre = the worst I have ever tasted and very expensive but the show made up for it and was spectacular. We had a nice room (a mini suite) and lovely comfortable beds. Very good breakfast. All the staff spoke good English and were most helpful. Also right near a metro station and also a taxi rank just at the end of the road. You can also pick up an open top bus at the end of the road near the Moulin Rouge which is great.

We asked for an early morning wake up call on the first morning. Unfortunately we did not get one at all and felt let down/ We ordered a taxi to come to the hotel and pick us up to take us to the Eiffel Tower. We were told to wait in our room and the receptionist would give us a call when the taxi came and that it would come down the drive and pick us up at the hotel entrance. We ordered it for 7.15 and did actually come down into reception and wait. At 7.25 no taxi had appeared. Eventually the taxi driver appeared and we went down to the taxi. He had not come up the drive as we had been told he would and it was raining heavily. When we got into the taxi there was 8 euros already on the clock and they made us pay because they said they had been waiting in the road for ten minutes. We were very angry about this. The total cost of the journey came to 20 euros which we felt was extortionate. I blame the receptionist for this because we would have gone down to the road if we knew we were expected to do this. We argued about the price and they reduced it by five euros but it was still far too expensive for the short journey we did. Apart from this we were happy with the hotel and the staff.
