Novotel Paris Gare De Lyon

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights mid may and have absolutely no complaints. Our bed was comfy, the shower was hot, the room we stayed in, while basic was very cool in hot weather, with large windows we could open over the square behind Gare De Lyon station. The buffet breakfast was also one of the best I've had from a three star chain hotel with lots of choice and nice service. All the staff spoke English, so it didn't matter that we only spoke basic french. Most of the main attractions were about 30 minutes- an hour away, a lovely walk up the Seine if you visit in spring/summer. The pool was small, which was annoying if there were lots of children diving in, however it was empty a lot of the time. Room service was fairly reasonable for a hotel, and the food although small portioned was divine. There's a few supermarkets nearby if you are short on cash.

Absolutely fabulous stay, staff were very friendly, excellent choice for breakfast, location was brilliant and rooms were very comfortable. Will definately be staying again in the near future.
