This is this possibly the worst Van Der Valk Hotel we've stayed at. This was a return trip for us following bad experiences and you go hoping things have improved. Poor bar service (a job to get served as the barman was always missing - seemed like he was multi-tasking elsewhere) The breakfast was less than impressive when on the first day there was three pieces of dried up bacon and the remnants of an omelette so we had to wait for fresh to arrive. The cooked meat looked less than appetizing whilst small flies buzzed around the fruit salad and the cake stand displayed four cakes. Second morning with no cloths on the tables which were there on day one the bacon and egg situation was similar along with stale rolls(which were replaced at 10-40 with 20 mins. of breakfast left. The local tarte al djhote (bar snack) was undercooked and when we told reception there was not enough tea for three in the room and no coffee we were told they had run out of coffee. This place needs a real good shake up and soon.

Excellent value for money, especially for the hotel portion. Dining is a bit more expensive, but this is one of the few hotels that I know of where you can sleep well and eat well.
