We were arriving late evening. It was good that we were seen and given our room key so quickly. The rooms are also very comfortable and clean.

There was not much choice for a vegetarian if I had wanted a cooked breakfast, no veggie sausages etc

This was the first hotel where I had to pay for parking my car (£5).

The staff was very good

Staff were polite and very helpful. Our waitress in the restaurant was delightful. Food was very good as was the service.

The hotel is tired and needs refurbishing. The shower in our bathroom was so stiff and impossible to turn off completely, so after using the shower it continued to dribble. Swing doors between the bedrooms and lounge area were grubby and marked. We were woken very suddenly just before 5am on Sunday morning by the clock radio, which appeared to switch itself on (it had not happened on the Saturday morning). It was not on a station, so we just heard extremely loud hissing and crackling - having returned from a wedding at about 1am that morning, we were jolted out of a deep sleep!! My husband switched it off and we tried to go back to sleep, however, it happened again about 10 minutes later. In the dark it was difficult to see what to do so my husband disconnected the radio from the wall and returned to bed. About 10 minutes after this the alarm went off. This happened twice more, by which time we were well awake and very fed up! I phoned reception to come and collect the clock radio which I put outside in the corridor. After all this we were quite upset and took some time to go back to sleep. I have to say that the girl on reception was very good in the morning and eventually refunded the cost of our meal on Friday night, which helped to compensate for the inconvenience. However, we felt that none of this should have happened in the first place.

Really enjoyed staying here. Lovely to be able to relax in the pool at the end of a long day before enjoying a very nice meal. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Would like to see tea, coffee and milk replacements for room available from reception. Eggs at breakfast should be cooked to order.

Everything - especially the warm reception when we arrived.

Noisy water pipes - We could hear near door every time they turned their tap on.
