The Edwardian Manchester, A Radisson Collection Hotel

My husband and I stayed at the Radisson Edwardian Manchester for my 30th birthday. We were very happy from the moment we walked into the hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, the hotel lobby was lovely. Our Executive King Room on 12th floor was fantastic, again lovely decor and spacious, very clean, the view from our window was amazing, over looking the city centre. We ate out in the evening but the breakfast, which we had delivered to our room, was lovely. The hotel is only 5-10 minutes walk from the Arndale Centre, Deansgate, Deansgate Locks and China Town. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel for a luxury break with very reasonable prices, and will definately be returning in the near future!

Loved the Double King bedroom in every respect; the bed itself was superbly comfortable and appeared to be a genuinely large bed rather than two beds pushed together. Staff were uniformly pleasant.

The breakfast. Again. A good quality continental breakfast is important if you're up early, busy and in a rush. Last time I stayed I thought the continental breakfast in the restaurant poor, in terms of choice and quality; this time I had breakfast in my room because I had to make business calls in my room - it was worse! Turned out to be 'breakfast to go' an awful Americanism that translated into two polystyrene cups one with orange (a pint of it) the other coffee (tasting awful);the croissants I ordered were nice but put in a bag within a takeaway carrier also containing a plasic knife and a small jar of jam, no butter. I know a proper breakfast tray with a decent hotel continental breakfast would be more expensive, but this wasn't cheap, in was just an insult. I don't expect a takeaway in a hotel charging over £250 a night. Your question below only offers a yes/no answer. The real answer for me is I'll give it a try one more time. If breakfast isn't improved, I won't be back.

The actual decor of the suite, staff committment, quality of food, good bar, great location. Would like to book again!!

The whole exp was fantastic. We where looked after so well and the facilities where great.

The hotel was 1st class, fantastic reception staff, lovely room, great pool and gym facilities.

My booking with eurobookings had not shown up and I was worried about getting a room. Georgina handled the situation very well and eventually found my booking.

Regarding the restaurant - not the a la carte - I asked for some dressing for my salad; a little oil and vinegar. The waiter came back with a small jug of vinegar and apologised that they did not have olive oil!!!!!!!! In fairness the Maitre 'd' did apologise also and approached me the following morning to say that they now had the olive oil. I didn't think any restaurants existed that didn't have olive oil...

Location great! Lovely hotel clean and modern with everything you need! Staff friendly! Overall I would recommend and go back again

I've stayed in other 5 star hotels and I think for the price rooms should be bigger with more gadgets!!
