Wellington Hotel & Spa Madrid

My daughter and I had a beautiful room overlooking the pool - had just been refurbished, and unfortunately, after retiring the ceiling of the bathroom came tumbling down and sounded like at attack was taking place -- light fixtures, metal panels falling on the marble floor. Called front immediately, and understandably breathless. Immediate response -- and, immediate location to another room. Early AM departure, I paid our bill but there was no adjustment or courtesy breakfast meal offered.

Good hotel - correct processing of incoming and leaving - well kept rooms.

Everythink was ok during our stay, but air-condition in our room fail and was not confortable to sleep.

Never the less I have ordert a executive room the hotel offert me a standard room. On request they told me that I have got a executive room. Only because I saw the department ( 1. floor)with executive rooms the hotel admit that I have got a wrong room. They offert me nothing for the mistake. Very bad experence......

The hotel dealt efficiently and courteously with a change of booking. The room and service were excellent. I did not eat in the hotel, and a long-distance taxi booked from the hotel cost more than twice as much as the return journey, booked well outside Madrid. Otherwise everything was extremely good.

I was not impressed by the staff's hospitality. They were noisy in the hallways from early morning - knowing that some guests might have a need to sleep in. The breakfast was less than what I have seen in any other 5-star hotel. This is simply not good enouch. The gentlemen in the reception was the exception. They were professional and fast.
