We arrive just after the 2nd night and tried to cancel. unfortunately we were late (not within 24 hours) but the 3rd night we canceled and we went to another hotel better. the mastery of English of the staff of the hotel was poor. they understood us, native speakers of scary. language, not even good. The room was tiny, no room in the bathroom sink was barely more than a toilet basin. did you use the sink, you had your feet in the shower are. dark brown color, poor curtains, barely room to turn your ass. 2 people disagree same 2 cups, 1 seat. 'Garden View' view was a gray backyard, barely daylight. Breakfast very sparse, uninviting atmosphere inhospitable. On return after city tour for the door in freezing wind with other guests have to wait until the door was opened and only after repeated bellen.kregen then comment to quieter and do not disturb the guests! This was at 9 hours pm. reception was unmanned at the time! Room very hot and stuffy, despite open window. Review: an unpleasant experience, certainly not to be repeated, absolutely no recommendation for others.

The rooms are small but very nice and clean. The location is just a few minutes walk from the metro station and the exibition centre, but away from the main street consequently there is no traffic noise. Breakfast is limited to cerials and toast with tea/coffee, no fruit or vegetables. Cleaning staff are friendly, but the young women in the reception always look as if they hate their job (this is my second stay) and they are not very service minded - seems like the guests are disturbing them. The rate per night is a bit expensive considering the service.

The taxi pulled up in a lovely quiet square and the exterior of the hotel looked very nice and in a super location, just 1 min walk from Earls Court tube station. The second I walked in the door, though, I had doubts. Upon arrival in reception, (which is shabby and in need of a good spruce up) there was no-one at the desk. Instead I was greeted by an extremely loud belch which I can only assume came from a workman who was involved in the refurb the hotel is undergoing. The lady who came out to greet me was sweet enough but pretty monosyllabic - basically pushed a form across the desk and told me to fill it in. I was tired, in a rush to get to a party and in no mood for smalltalk anyway. The lift was TINY - says it can hold 4 people, no way, it was a squash with 2. When I came out of the lift on the first floor, there was a sheet hung up where the wall was supposed to be (OK, they're refurbishing but there was no mention of this upon booking) and the corridor was dusty and dirty with exposed wiring and stained walls and carpets. I was scared to open the door to my room. Thankfully, however, the room has evidently been refurbished very recently and although there was an unpleasant looking stain on the top bedspread of the double bed, standards of cleanliness in the room and bathroom were otherwise excellent. The room was a twin and was (only just) large enough for one person. For two of us, we would have been falling over one another to move around. Reception forgot to tell me about the £10 charge to hire the remote control for the flat-screen TV (never heard of this before but then I have not stayed in many hotels in London). I only had a £20 note and they had no change so thankfully they let me off the charge. Finally, I was able to have a shower and get ready for my party whilst watching TV. I was glad I had brought my own towels as the ones supplied were threadbare and looked very old. I did sleep comfortably and didn't have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on this. I had low expectations, so that is why I did not complain, but I couldn't bring myself to "recommend" this hotel to anyone else.

I have never been in a place that was so dirty as this hotel, we asked nice if they could clean our room more than once, but nothing happend, so we took pictures and wrote a letter to the manager, but we havent heard enything. I still have the pictures, if you want I can send them to you. This was not a pleasent stay.

See remarks below. I think that little improvements could mean a lot for the overall quality of this hotel! I would only recommend it for it's low price, which is also the reason why I thougt the discomfort acceptable.
