Very unhappy about the fact that we had paid for the room and told us that it was not paid! He had returned by mail the invoice to be paid back in a second time!

Room was clean & comfortable (if fairly basic).

On checking in shortly after 4pm we were given key to our room but on reaching it found bed had obviously been slept in & apparent room had not been serviced. Trudged back to reception & there appeared to be some confusion. Initially we were told we'd have to sit in reception & wait for room to be cleaned but then we were offered an alternative room. This room had been cleaned, although obviously fairly hurriedly & unfortunately there was a lingering smell of body odour which was not nice to be greeted with! However, after opening window for while we were able to air the room. Breakfast was very poor value for money. Hot choices were cold & congealed & cold choices were limited to croissants or extremely hard & dry bread rolls or cereal with warm milk that tasted off. Price for breakfast not visible anywhere & were shocked to be charged more than 30 euros for something which was mostly inedible!! Would definitely advise anyone staying at the hotel to avoid the breakfast! Also all lifts out of order on checking out so had to carry luggage down narrow spiral stairs from second floor. Luckily we were young & reasonably fit but there was no obvious offer of help from staff so not sure what more elderly or incapicated guests would have done. Wouldn't say hotel was a definite no to anyone visiting city but would only recommend with provisos.
