Hotel Vitkova Hora

We stayed in a cabin and it was very cheap. The area around the cabin was pretty and there are some lovely walks to do locally. Karlovy Vary was a very interesting place to visit and fit walkers can walk there from the cabins through some very lovely forest tracks. The hotel is close by and they served some good and reasonably priced meals. They also had a free wifi hotspot. The staff were friendly and helpful but spoke only a little English Despite our problems with these cabins we did end up having a good time but would have liked to been able to prepare more of our own food.

These cabins are really quite basic. Its difficult to complain too much because of the low price but the bed linen was quite horrible and the kitchenette poorly equipped. One small fryingpan' a very small tin pot but, interestingly, 3 kettles!! A wooden spatula and some assorted knives and forks and some plates etc. Not really enough to prepare anything more than breakfast. The weather was not good and the bathroom floor was continually wet. There were no table and chairs to sit and eat at - only a coffee table and some low chairs. The maintenance was poor with taps and plugs poorly attached. Plenty of hot water.

Unfortunately we could not use the reservation, by the illness of my wife, who could not travel. We have communicated this hotel. m.vr.gr.
