When we arrived to check in, the hotel said they had no record of our booking. I then produced my booking confirmation and showed my digust as i was embarassed about this. The receptionist was very apologetic and polite and proceeded to make amends when she realised the mistake. Overall we had a very pleasant stay at this hotel

Value for money and staff especially in restuarant very nice
I feel especially the bathroom needed done up did not feel clean ie decor not by some one cleaning it

The facilities were suitable, it was within a reasonable distance of Glasgow and it allowed us to entertain some long standing friends in Ayrshire
The first room allocated to us had a 'musty' smell, but we were given an alternative room.

A good location for our purpose. As we travel with dogs the grounds were welcome, lots of grass and safe. Room size was good although the king size bed took up quite a lot of space!

Great grounds and safe car parking nearby when the dogs needed to be left in the car. Comfortable bar area to relax in.
I'm a very light sleeper, so noisy heating and as the weather was great, too warm.

On the whole everything was fine. The only thing that I might comment on is the staff smoking outside in the morning. It was quite early and their voices carried.
