Stayed May 08/09. Customer service has been faultless. I booked 3 double rooms both years and they were still booked by the time we arrived!! Unlike a local Lodge! The rooms are clean, we asked for more pillows and they arrived within 3 minutes, when the hotel was FULLY booked. Staff are friendly and can make decisions by themselves FANTASTIC!

The rooms are comfortable but breakfast and parking are overpriced. Other hotels, which might appear dearer are, in fact, cheaper because of parking and breakfast.

The main problem is that they are now allowing vehicles to park for long periods (15 - 20 days) whilst the driver is on holiday. This provides a problem with parking for regular guests who require to drive as there is limited parking once these vehicle have been left. Vehicles are double parked to allow as many as they can get in but you have to leave keys with reception and can be called on to suddenly have to move your vehicle which effectively has the potential to tie you to staying in the hotel just in case your vehicle needs to be moved

Overall a good stay , Clean , Tidy , Freindly, minor improvements could make better ie. cooked breakfast not left cooked in trays all sitting ( looses flavour and mushrooms bland. )Parking should be free to guests as you should have the facility for customers to feel there vehicles are safe.Added expense onto bill for staying. Bar prices very reasonable for area.The safe instructions in room not clear and can be seen as confusing to action. Minor details a good standard overall.

I made the booking online, electing to upgrade to the executive room. I was dissapointed not to have had the room I ordered and on questioning this, I was told that the room was not available. the executive housekeeper did everything possible to upgrade the room I had by adding a fridge, robes and different bedding.

I checked in 1700 , receptionist( a young man ) was not very welcoming ,gave me a room .I did not notice ,when I returned at 10pm and went to bed,noticed a strong smell of smoke....IN the morning I asked to be moved,the Manager agreed and upgraded me to a suite..otherwise I would stay there at the same rate....
