The room
Having travelled all day we were rather looking forward to a relaxing meal at the hotel before bed, unfortunately we had not noticed in the booking details that your restaurant is not open at weekends and the Friday night of our first stay with you, the restaurant was fully booked with cyclsts. That night we went without a meal and on the second occasion we ate at a rather second rate restaurant in the town. All in all we were very dissapointed and would urge you to cater for your holiday travellers who would normally visit you at the week end rather than concentrating on your mid week business guests. If that cannot be done then the fact should be more prominently displayed at the time of booking so that informed decisions could be made regarding that booking.

Overall the hotel is much better than the Travelodges in the UK. It takes dogs for free is good!!
The hotel still adds to the confusion by saying that the restaurant is closed at weekends. Friday evening closure of the restaurant is not the weekend in my book and they should clarify this on their web site.
The fact they have no kettle and cups in the room adds to lack of eating drinking in the evenings.

Staff were friendly. Room was clean. Dinner bed and breakfast represented excellent value of money
The waiting staff sat us down on a table by the window but the window was covered in flies. We moved ourselves away from the flies to another table and we told the waitress why we had moved. She made no attemp to apologise about the flies and did nothing about it. This is why I have given a 5 for cleanliness.

Given comments below ,staff very helpful in reception and polite, alternative evening meal booked in town by the staff so very helpful.
Disappointed that no evening meal and standards of room decor not as good as last year
