Novotel Edinburgh Park

The food and choice and quality was second to none

I found the room temperature too warm and did not like the fact we had no control of reducing the temperature below 19 degrees!!

Overall cleanliness of hotel was poor. Room was dirty. Carpets stained / sticky. Bathroom floor tiles raised (sharp edges) Carpets lifting in resteraunt. Tables not cleared / cleaned. Quality of food in resteraunt was very poor

I would like to have free WiFi access.

We were taking our two little foster boys on their first holiday. My wife and I love Edinburgh, and thought we would treat the wee boys to a few days away. As the train station was only a couple of minutes walk away, we left the car and took the boys on their first train journey into Edinburgh. we had an open top bus tour of the city .... in the snow. The doughnut out let across from the hotel was a great hit, and the large window in our family room proved a great hit with the boys. They were really looking forward to using the swimming pool at the hotel, but sadly it was closed during our stay for maintenance during our stay.

The only thing we found very disappointing was the fact that the swimming pool was closed for two days for maintenance. It was on of the main reasons we picked this hotel, as our foster sons love swimming, and given the freezing weather we thought that at least if we were confined to the hotel, they could enjoy themselves in the pool.

Well situated, clean modern hotel. Very comfortable room and superb shower!

Strong smell of pool chemicals throughout public area on ground floor

The staff were very friendly and attentive and the room was clean and tidy.

Jeg syntes at morgenmaden var halv kold, så det smagte ikke særlig godt.

The hotel was easy to find and park in. We arrived at 9pm, but check in went smoothly and efficiently. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. The pool was lovely and we enjoyed our morning swim.
