Hi overall I was very happy with my stay in The Royal Marine Hotel. Just a couple of observations. 1. I was on the 4th floor and the lift was out of order for the duration of my stay, while it was good for calorie burning, it was a little inconvenient. 2. The selection of toiletaries was not great, and in any 4 star hotel, you would normally have shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, there were only 2 bottles in my bathroom. I am only making observations, and everything was excellent.3. The view from my bedroom was overlooking the side of the hotel, realsising that you have just extensively renovated the hotel, it is a pity that you did not extend paint job to the side of the hotel which could do with a nick of paint. I felt that the tiles used in the bathrooms were poor, a travertine effect would have been the same price and given a more luxurious effect. I am sorry, but I am only giving my opinion. My overall stay was very enjoyable and the staff are very good. Many thanks,

The location is close to transport facilities but also lovely walks along the harbour piers and coastal gardens. The main entrance has a very large lobby and reception area. Desk staff were courteous and polite, allocating a room in the original building which has been completely refurbished. The room was spacious, clean, quite, with every convenience, including tea and coffee making facilities. I took a basic meal in the extremely large bar, which serves basic food but of good quality and courteous service. Prices are a little more than other establishments. A traditional Irish breakfast was served and once again quite enjoyable.
