Herbert Park Hotel

A clean and friendly hotel in a tranquil setting.I enjoyed my stay in the Herbert Park Hotel as it is a convenient location to town and to my son who lives in Blackrock.This location had also access to several restaurants and pubs within walking distance.However I found it odd that there was no tea or coffee avaiable in the room.

We found the hotel in general to be of a very high standerd. The food was excelent and good value. The staff were very friendly and helpfull, which is always nice to find. Only stayed one night but would love to return for longer next time.

I had an unfortunate experience in the Herbert Park Hotel. A large crowd held a party in the room next to mine and I was unable to get any sleep. I reported the incident to hotel staff on duty at 3am, 4am and 5am and unfortunately the staff were unable to control the situation. Having reported the incident, a person from the room next door banged aggressively on my room door for a long period of time and I was very frightened for my personal safety. The next day the hotel insisted on charging for my hotel and offered an upgrade for the next time I stay. The handling of the situation was out of touch. Due to distress and the time taken up with the complaint I had to cancel my plans that day which was the purpose for staying in the Herbert Park. In the days following I had someone follow up the incident with the hotel manager who said my room would be credited but this has not happened.
