A very big thank you for arranging the floral arrangement, chocolates, and sparkling grape juice. It was our 25th anniversary and my wife was pleasantly pleased. The only thing she didn't like was that we couldn't haul the flowers back to London on the train. Nice hotel, nice people, nice stay. Thanks!

The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable.
The manager in the dining room was very capable and helped us with an enquiry about the local hospital.
I felt an extra person would have made a lot of difference to the smooth running of the dining room although the manager and waiter were doing a good job.I would have liked a slightly bigger bed and was surprised at the size of the bed and room for the money we paid. Our rooms were not available until 2.00pm which wasn't made clear to us when I booked. We were offered the use of another room to change in (as we were going to a wedding).

Spacious quiet room, comfortable bed, good breakfast.
Work on roof meant a long walk to breakfast (in the rain). The furnishings and carpets seemed "tired"

Nice quiet room with everything we needed for an overnight stay not sure about a longer stay may have liked more facilites for that. Was within walking distance of the wedding venue we were going to and we slept well. We did not eat at the hotel so cant comment on the food but it did smell good!!
Everything was fine for our needs for one night
