Hotel Prestige

Nicely finished lobby and hallways, beautiful tiling throughout. Staff were efficient.

1) Nosiy, noisy street location. It is a crowded run down neighborhood with lots of traffic and not happy (so not friendly) local residents. 2) The beds are hard as rocks. Imagine the most rigid futon you have ever seen and double it. the mattresses are clearly not "spring" mattresses and whatever the filling is, it is hard and dense. It will probably wear well but it is hard to feel like you are not sleeping on the ground. 3)While it is an easy walk to the Noord train station from the hotel, it is a hard walk uphill to get to hotel from train station. The streets are not well marked and are disorienting, croded narrow sidewalks with lots of obstacles that arise from being a croded neighborhood (double parked cars, parking in crosswalks, parking on sidewalks, debris on sidewalks). This is not a tourist neighborhood, so no restaurants/bars that look like they welcome tourists. 4)Our shower leaked horribly through the bottom, as if the drain form shower to floor drain is not sealed properly. Maybe the plumbing was not done by professionals? The upshot is that there is a huge puddle of water after showern that makes using the hairdryer a dangerous proposition and will likely lead to a horrbile mold problem as the hotel ages.
