The breakfast at 20 euros is not worth half its price. Soundproof room is only average.

There were two flaws: 1. The desk clerk forgot to make my wake-up call on my departure date. 2. When I inquired about the restaurant I was told that they were closed... but not told that it was open for breakfast! Apart from that I found the hotel a superb place to stay and when I visit Brussels again in the spring I shall plan to stay there.

The hotel was good and clean and its location excellent. The double room where I stayed was spacious and very comfortable. I liked the oldfashioned way it was furnished. Also, the room was quiet in spite of the hotel´s central location. I appreciated the possibility to use the internet connection downstairs. I would recommend the hotel to other visitors. However, it is not a five-star hotel, perhaps it would merit four stars, but definitely not five. The gym downstairs was cold and unattractive, I did not feel about going there at all. Also, it would be nice if the breakfast was included in the price.

I made my booking via your site because I had first called the hotel myself, but a non-French speaking staff told me that they preferred me to book via Internet than via telephone. On my internet booking, I made the special request that I wanted to pay directly the bill via my credit card, because the stay was a gift for the parents of my husband. I made also the precise request to confirm this to me, which of course, was never done. So, the day before the stay, I went to the hotel myself to pay, because I certainly did not want my guests to pay for the present I was giving them. Would you want someone to pay him/herself for the the present you're giving him/her? I don't think so!! May I also mention that, when I went to the hotel, there was no one at the reception. I certainly waited for 10 minutes before someone came! One last thing: when booking on this site, I booked a special offer "Romantic Package", which included chocolates and flowers in the room. When my husband brought his parents to the hotel the afternoon of their arrival, there was none of the promised items in the room, of course! So I called the hotel to say how much I was deceived, because I had made a special booking and I did not see the point to pay for an extra that wasn't delivered! I called aroung 3:00 in the afternoon, and the promised items only arrived after 6:00 in the afternoon! I guess they wouldn't have arrived at all if I hadn't called about it. So you see, this is a nice place in itself, but the staff does not match in the picture because they have no sense of service!

Nothing wrong with this beautiful hotel, upscale but affordable with eurobookings. Located at 2 steps from the metro and tram station. Nice amenities, perfect service, very good memories.

It is a nice hotel but for the cost there should be at least a kettle for tea and coffee in the room. Staff were courteous.
