Location was superb. Right by the station with lots of amneties and shops around. Not far from the old town as well. Toilet is large and clean. Room was quiet (we faced the inner courtyard).
We constantly knocked the edges of the extra 3rd bed in our room. We knew we would the minute we saw the design of the bed!! Other than constantly knocking and hurting our feet the room was good :)

Too many problems in the room the safe did not work so were changed to another room but the phone did not work in that one nor some of the lights breakfast was not included

The room 602 was a bit gloomy. The TV is mounted so that it is easy to knock against the head.

1. I asked for a quiet room and that's what I got. However, given that the room faced the indoor market and not the main street, this should be the case. I will, in future, ask the Hotel for an inward facing room. 2. Convenience cannot be overlooked. I wanted to be near Bern main station and short of sleeping on the platform you can't get much nearer!
The breakfast was expensive at 18 Swiss Francs but I wanted to try it to see if it was good. It was a good breakfast, but the price is a bit off putting, given that my next Hotel (in a different part of Switzerland) charged the same room price but included breakfast. But at least the choice is yours!
