Barceló Raval

We really enjoyed our stay (January 2009) at Barcelo Raval in celebration of my wifes "big" birthday. The rooms are laid out somewhat differently to other hotels so it makes it feel a bit special. The food (we had breakfast and lunch) in the excellent bar area was fabulous. We upgraded to a deluxe room located on 10th floor (prompted by the staff) for small extra fee. The view is spectacular. On the roof of the hotel there is an open area where one can walk completely around. There is also a plunge pool which would be great on sunny days(alas we didn't get to use it). I recommend this hotel for couples but it's not really suitable for smallish children.

A stunning 1st class contemporary hotel. The roof terrace was particularly impressive and gave great views of the city. The room was clean and stylish with the shower being the highlight. Location was great for exploring but a little shady at night. Overall though excellent.

Hotel super sympa. The modern decor is sober and tasteful. Note, however, it is not always practical (lack of storage) and bottled water that is put out the mini bar is part of the minibar (in gasping, it was deleted invoice)
