Main reason for choosing Hotel Puerta de la Luna: Facilities
The hotel itself lived up to the onsite description - the hotel, including our room, was charming and the restaurant deserved the Michelin Guide mention. Baeza itself is a lovely little hill town where the surrounding hills appear to have been corn braided with olive trees as far as the eye could see.
I have 2 main regrets: 1) I truly, truly regret not buying the local varieties of olive oil - with their subtle fruity, piquant flavour and light texture - from the hotel. Sadly, they did not appear to be available elsewhere. And 2) should have stayed there longer. One day was not long enough to explore and appreciate the surrounding countryside and to truly indulge in the hotel cuisine.
I have 2 peeves: 1)Although the hotel is well sign posted through the town, sign posting should be added to the more accessible route to the parking. Otherwise you almost need a shoehorn to manouevre even a small car round the narrow streets and sharp bends. 2) The "regular" prices quoted on your site were extremely misleading as they were massively inflated. The so-called discounted room rate we paid was very similar to the regular rate quoted in the hotel.
