Main reason for choosing Mercure Ayr Hotel: Location

Location. Comfort and cleanliness of room. Enjoyable breakfast menu.
Waiters/ waitresses not sufficiently alert to needs of guests (people in such jobs need to see via wide-angled lenses and not have blinkered vision).More attention also needs to be directed towards their appearance; in particular the control of their hair and the neatness/cleanliness of their dress. Dinner (on the first night only) was not an enjoyable experience.

We stayed at ramada ayr for three nights it was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful.We would definitely go back again.

Friendly & attentive staff, exellent breakfast buffet. Comfortable enough room.
We paid for a double room but got 2 single beds pushed together which didn't stay together very well. We stayed in room 551 & had a rather nasty surprise upon opening the window as there was a used & rather sad looking condom that looked like it had been there for some time. It was however swiftly removed by housekeeping when I discreetly advised the reception staff but I would have thought that we deserved at least a complimentary drink. Imagine if we had really caused a fuss & demanded a room change? All in all a pleasant enough stay as we were only there a night but I would have expected a change of room if staying longer.

Convenient location. Good parking.
Breakfast was atrocious-bacon like dried leather-congealed fried eggs-poor choice-watery tea. In short, would choose Travel Lodge/Little Chef for value

We thought it was fantastic value for money. The room was clean & modern & the staff on reception & at breakfast couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was very good, fantastic choice & all fresh. The only let down was the leisure facilities which were looking a bit shabby & in need of some attention.

Modern,Clean, friendly hotel with good choice of food at breakfast & plenty of it.
Just a bit disappointed with the leisure area. Missing & broken tiles around the pool area, flaky paint. Pool was nice though

We liked everything except the fact that a wedding kept loud music resounding through the hotel until 12:30 a. m. There should be a policy of quiet after 11 p.m.

Wonderful pool and spa; desk staff extremely helpful;ample breakfast
