Palazzo Guiderocchi

Stayed two nights in mid June 2009. Our first room was very disappoining with non functioning air conditioning, lights that didn't work and knobs missing from wardrobes and cupboards but worst was the foul smell in the bathroom! Our complaint was met with urgency and professionalism and we were relocated and upgraded to a junior suite which was much more acceptable. The room style is very "Italian Palazzo" with olive-wood ceiling beams, dark wood furnishings and tiled floors. Located very centrally, the hotel is well situated to explore Ascoli and to enjoy it's vibrant night-life with just a short stroll home at the end of the evening! The staff are friendly, capable and multi-lingual. Parking nearby is virtually impossible but garage parking is available and a polite young man will park your car and return it whenever you need it. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance and the nearby Anisetti Meletti in Piazza del Popolo is one of Italy's top historic caffes -a wonderful place to sit outside and watch the evening passegiata!

The hotel was situated in the centre of Ascoli and the room I sayed in was in the annex on the main square. The room was very clean and modern and could not be faulted. The bathromm was very also very modern and clean.Although I booked a single room I had a double bed and the fridge contained complimentary drinks. Overall it was excellent value for money and I will stay at this hotel again.

Nice hotel,good beds,ok bathroom,not too rich breakfast. Staff ok, but unorgenized..On line booking was not clear to all staff, we had problems with that..I had to call them three times before, from Croatia, to confirm, and when i came, we had to explain over again..When i paid the bill,, thay didnt have to exchange the money, ,...we waited for ever. The worst was, THAY DIDNT HAVE EXTRA PILLOW!! Which hotel dont have an extra pillow!

Avery special hotel.Difficult to reach by car, but the staff helps inmediately with putting the car away at arrival.It is a pity that we had to sleep inthe dependance,more or the less 100 m. away from the hotel, but the situation was perfect and the room too. So no problem.
