Mercure Amsterdam City

Location,taxi stand,breakfast and reception staff.

Very unhappy about the fact that we had paid for the room and told us that it was not paid! He had returned by mail the invoice to be paid back in a second time!

Everything.

The lighting of room, bar and coffee shop. Roomcouldhave more lights .brighter bar and coffeeshop

The location is great right off the highway noise but not annoying. Wunderfolle promising and fast in the center of Amsterdam. Below the bar is cozy and the room has its own minibar is a plus.

Standing in the reservation that it is possible to clock over 14 Check in as we were arriving at 14.45 clock is not enough room unfortunately Sauber. Since I had to lie down wanted man to offer me another room for extra € 30.00 but I had numbers! After much back and forth man has given us a bigger room at no extra charge.

The perqonnel is nice but very few speak French. The rooms are clean and modern. The breakfast is hearty. The parking fee is 20 euros / day. The metro is a 10 minute walk is quite boring ... We had a good stay.

I was very happy to adapt the meal I've eaten in my room. I was allowed to eat meals other than the ones found on the room service list.

Hair dryer was not functioning in the room I was. I've booked a room with a large bed and received a room with two single beds. I of course can live with that but at the price payed, this kind of small details must at least be known (those are two small issues that I already encountered during other stays at Mercure. For the rest my hair was dry when I left the hotel, I slept very good in a single bed and I eat very good in my room....but formally if it is asked to proactively make a choice, this choice must be respected. If the option you choose is not available, it must been told at the arrival during the check-in.
