The buffet breakfast, friendly girl at the front desk-day shift.
This hotel does not warrannt the 3 star rating, not a comfortable bed, generally shabby depressing room at a very overpriced rate.

It was right on the tram line and only 15 minutes direct from Amsterdam Centraal Station without any transfers. It was just a couple of stops from a very nice nightspot and several museums including the Rikesmuseum (sp?), Van Gogh and the Amsterdam Dianmond Museum.
I do not understand how it ever received a 3 star rating. If you are familiar with Motel 6 in the States, those are nicer than the Belfort. The "FREE wireless internet available throughout the hotel" did not work at all in my room, and was VERY intermittent when I was sitting in the restaurant/bar. A colleague of mine stayed at the Aalders (very near the Rikesmuseum) for the same money and it was MUCH nicer. I will stay there next time.

Although the Belfry hotel is clearly an old one and probably not much money into the interior to stabbing (which given the price of one night to understand, I was pleasantly surprised that stood out bright room and bathroom tegen entrance and hallway.

I don't believe how this hotel can have a 3-star rating. The cleaning was critical, the staff was indeed not serviceminded and the breakfast was boring. When we were there, some other guest's had a suitcase stolen just in front of the hotel, but the hotelstaff, did'nt bother to call the police. Overall, this hotel is not worth the money, if you look on quality versus price. Only good thing is, that you can reach centre of Amsterdam within 15. min. by tram.

Too teuer.das room and the mattress a disaster. the bed linen was of the predecessor and we had to change myself yet. never again.
