A piece of living history. My wife and I stayed here as we were touring across Spain and while you always expect a Parador to be something special this one was really breathtaking. Interior views across the terraces and plazas and just walking around the inside admiring the restoration work, the architecture, the decorations etc. was inspiring. Also for position it has no rival in Santiago. We will definitely return someday.
The only unfortunate thing was that the size of the breakfast restaurant was too small and there was not enough staff to look after everyone so queues were long and waiting for coffee was a little annoying. The food itself though was very good.
