Hotel Pinija

The hotel was basically nice with a spacious rooms and a pleasant atmosphere. We chose this hotel mainly because of the facilities such as pool, bar and restaurant. However, we and all other guests (many of them with kids) were very disappointed when we were told to leave the pool area at 6 pm. It is simply too early in relation to many other hotels around the world. Many guests are first available to sunbathe after 4 or 5 pm for different reasons. Some people do take day trips, other can not handle a strong sun before the late afternoon and some just do not have a chance to get a place unless standing up very early. Although the hotel is lying near to the beach and the "beautiful sea", as one hotel worker told us, a word must be said about the beach as well. Considering the fact that the beach was a typical Croatian beach with rocks, waves and deep water, the facility such as pool is essential in the area alike. Especially it is important for the families with kids or persons with the physical disabilities. Also, we were prohibited to intake any drinks at the pool area, even though we bought them at the hotels bar. We found it quite strange and restrictive. Otherwise the hotel offers the evening programs for kids, broad but far from exceptional choice for breakfast. Internet café was consisting of two computers; however wireless internet was available at the lobby in case you are traveling with a laptop.
