Staff helpful, and breakfast was good.
Car parking was a bit of a problem because of a wedding being on, we had to drive around a few times and eventually the staff helped find a spot.

The clime up two flights of steep stairs was hard for older people. The food in the restaurant was quite unedable and the service was very slow.

The welcome was warm, the staff seemed willing to please, but tended to 'disappear' at times. It is a lovely old building crying out for a make over.
Our room(17)10 was tidy but so hot we had to use the fan provided for most of the time. It's location, facing a very shaded part of the surrounding buildings, and the fact that it may be above kitchen heaters (we did not check this) meant there was little circulation of air. It may be fine in the winter time.

Polite and helpful staff. Very warm welcome. Comfortable bed. Everything was clean
The hotel decor is very tierd and scruffy, which is a real shame as it is a beautiful building and could be made lovely inside with a bit of a facelift.

Your hotel was nicely olde world with necessary mod cons! The room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast delicious and choices on menu large and freshly cooked. All staff we met were very friendly, polite and helpful. The situation was very convenient and it represented good value for money. If we needed to stay in your part of the Kent again we would definitely come back to The Kings Arms.

My husband's kippers weren't quite cooked!! but we were in a hurry so didn't ask for them to be cooked a bit more!!!
