Hotel Bellavista

We read previous reviews which helped us choose this wonderful hotel. It was located on the lake front at Valmadrera and OH WHAT A LOCATION, WOW. We had a very nice room with a fabulous lake view. French doors open onto a small balcony which presents the guest with a vista of moored sailboats and a backdrop of a giant granite rock that blasts upward from the far side of the lake. At the foot of this great rock is the town of Lecco stretching along the far banks at the southern tip of "Lago Di Lecco/ Lecco Lake" which is an arm of "Lago Di Como/ Lake Como". After check-in we walked to a nearby restaurant/pizzeria for a "Fairly Decent" pizza. The lakefront is also beautiful at night. We thoroughly enjoyed our room and the breakfast was VERY NICE. When we left we took a right turn and proceeded to Bellagio driving along the waters edge and later to Como also along the waters edge. This area was quite stunning and Hotel Bellavista is a great place to stay while there. We will stay there again.

We had a wonderful visit; everything was nice and as expected; the room view of the lake was beautiful; the breakfast was great!

We were delighted by the Bellavista and especially the magnificent views.
