Novotel Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

Very little. It was a question of "needs must". I needed a bed for the night when I arrived in Paris at 11pm. One would not choose to stay there otherwise. I appreciated the wakeup call which allowed me to remove myself from the hotel as soon as possible. I did not take the breakfast which was expensive and based on what I found in the bedroom likely to be extremely poor value for money.

I was put into a "smoking room" despite asking for (and booking) a non-smoking room. But when I got there there were none available - and at that time of night what could I do? The hotel could not even provide proper cups, spoons or tea - only a paper cup, a stick, and something in a packet which was sweet and sickly. The bathroom was dark and the soap could not be unwrapped - I had to snap it against the basin. I presume the room was clean but the lighting in it was abysmal. I was annoyed to be asked on checking out to pay a local tax. It was not much, but why was this not included in the original price and credit card transaction? All in all, I would imagine it was a good place to commit suicide in.

Poor public computer service. not enough. kept breaking down. staff were VERY patient. wificould have been better. ie not having to sign up each time.

Location, and the breakfast buffet was quite good. The rooms were simple, but clean and stylish enough.

I had booked and paid for two rooms under my name, and provided my name and my colleague's name as staying in the two rooms. The Novotel couldn't figure this out - they thought I only had one room, and it took me awhile to convince them. Then there was more confusion on checking out...

The location of the hotel was a prime concern the fist time we stayed at the Novotel CDG. It was perfect for a short "wind down day" after a week in Paris. Add a great staff, a clean and quiet room, it was a fine choice. We will not hesitate to recommend the hotel to our friends, not will we not hesitat to stay there the next time the opportunity presents itself.
