Restaurant very expensive and disappointing for dinner uneven quality and lack of taste

The hotel is in a fantastic location right on the Atlantic Ocean, one of the best views in the world. There is a large paved area in front of the hotel overlooking the sea and the hills across the bay, with the Kerry mountains behind; it is a magnificent setting. You need to book a room with a sea view as the rooms at the back face woodland and are a bit gloomy. Our executive room was spacious, well-equipped with a large bathroom. The dining room made the most of the great views but there was no set menu for the evening meal. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of very comfortable lounges and open fires. The hotel has recently reopened following a long closure for renovations. We have stayed before and found most of the improvements were well done and enhanced the hotel.

The hotel is in a wonderful situation and I know was closed for renovation. It was not really ready to open and there were many small things not up to standard. Staff in dining room were very inexperienced and seemed to have no supervision and food generally was not up as good as it should have been.

Great facilities. breakfasts were excellent with a very comprehensive menu. Dinners were outstanding. Rooms were beautiful and hygienic. The new SPA was fantastic with a great range of facilities but was expensive. Great walks around the hotel grounds. Really enjoyed the tennis.

Wonderfull!!! Must stay if in the South West.

Bedrooms need to be cleaned up. hotel itself excellent.

It was our first visit to the hotel and we expected top class service. Your greeting and check in staff were wonderful - it was raining when we arrived and umbrellas arrived - help with bags.....cheerful attitude etc., Our room was lovely - looked out on a building site....but...so did the Hilton in Dubai!! I could have lived with it ,had the overall service been better.....I will fill in further in appropriate box.

The staff in the hotel are fantastic, the food was good, the rooms were very small and very warm it was difficult to sleep. The location is out of this world. I highly recommend the hotel.
